Duluth’s twice-yearly restaurant week has pivoted from prix fixe menus to a push to sell gift cards, according to a news release from the Greater Downtown Council.
Billed as the “Gift Card Edition,” dozens of local restaurants are offering a bonus $5 gift card to customers who purchase a $25 gift card. The promotion runs Nov. 8-15 and includes 29 restaurants, including spots beyond the downtown area.
Some of the week’s regular restaurants are included, like 7 West Taphouse and Grandma’s Saloon, but the council has added multiple Sammy’s Pizza locations, three Perkins, and the Duluth Grill family, including Corktown Deli and Brews and OMC Smokehouse. For a full list, go to downtownduluth.com.
Eat Downtown started in 2010, a localized take on restaurant week. Participating businesses offered limited multi-course menu , a $10 fixed price lunch and a $20-$25 dinner.
