Grandma’s Saloon & Grill in Duluth’s Canal Park temporarily closed its downstairs kitchen and restaurant Friday after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.
The upstairs pub and patio at that location will remain open, as it utilizes a separate kitchen and staff, a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page said.
“During this closure, we will be asking all employees who have had close contact with this employee to self-quarantine for 14 days at the direction of the Minnesota Department of Health,” the post said.
The Grandma’s Saloon and Grill located near the Miller Hill Mall will remain open.
The restaurant said it has taken several steps to minimize the spread of COVID-19, including screening staff upon arrival and logging their temperatures. All employees have been required to wear face masks.
