Millions of people lost their jobs because of the pandemic — a hit that could take years to recover from.
And for the people who kept their jobs, it’s been a brutal year. People who thrived in social, collaborative environments have had to work from home, separated from colleagues.
Job descriptions were forced to change, too. Workers who were once out in their communities or who got to travel regularly were stuck behind computers. And front-line workers have had to press on, regardless of quarantines keeping others at home.
For some, it’s been enough to make them contemplate career changes. At 11 a.m. Monday, host Angela Davis will be joined by a job search expert to talk about how to change careers during the pandemic. Davis will also talk with tax experts about what to know about filing this year.
We want to hear from you. Are you thinking about changing jobs or careers because of the pandemic? Or did you already make the switch? Call 651-227-6000 during the 11 a.m. hour or tweet @AngelaDavisMPR to join the conversation.
