The owners of Waters of Superior, an art gallery and boutique in Duluth’s Canal Park, announced Thursday that they would be permanently closing the shop Oct. 25 due to COVID-19.
Co-owners Jeff Frey and Craig Blacklock, both of whom are also photographers, said in a news release that COVID-19 has reduced sales at the shop “dramatically.”
“And projections showed it would have been impossible to make it through the winter and spring, especially without Duluth’s normal convention business,” the news release said.
The business started in Grand Marais in 1999. The following year, the Canal Park store opened at 395 S. Lake Ave.
The store will offer closing sales beginning Friday.
