The Burns Harbor made its way through the Superior Entry Tuesday afternoon into Lake Superior to becoming the first ship to leave port.

The Soo Locks opened 12 hours early to start the 2021-22 Great Lakes shipping campaign. The Burns Harbor was loaded with iron ore pellets from BNSF in Superior.
