The University of Minnesota Extension is hosting a goat/sheep birthing and animal health webinar. The free event is slated for 6:30-8 p.m. Jan. 28, and will cover preparing your goats and sheep for kidding and lambing season, with an emphasis on birth (or, parturition).
Dr. Whitney Knauer, assistant professor at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine, will discuss pregnancy toxemia and mastitis; vaccinations; body condition scoring; and more.
Livestock specialist Kyle Rozeboom will talk about the birthing process, dystocia and how to assist a healthy start for a newborn lamb/goat kid.
Agribusiness professionals, farmers, 4-Hers, homesteaders and interested parties are welcome to attend. Registration is required at http://bit.ly/3seMNWD, and for those unable to attend the live session, you’ll receive an emailed recording.
