Saint Agnes Baking Co., located in St. Paul, Minn., ceased production on January 20, 2018, reports Minneapolis Star Tribune. The wholesale bakery company provided a range of artisanal breads and pastries to restaurants throughout Minnesota.
Many restaurants have expressed disappointment that the bakery is closing, noting how important its bread was to their menus. Tim Mahoney, owner of the Loon Cafe and president of the Warehouse District Business Association, says it will be difficult to find another bakery that can provide the specialty breads for its sandwiches, according to the report.
